Community Outreach
“You shall love the love your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself…go and do likewise. ”(Luke 10:26,37)
SP Community Outreach takes to heart God’s commandment to love Him and to love our neighbors as ourselves. This ministry partners with churches and organizations to serve the Central and Western neighborhood. Programs under this ministry include:
- The “Hong Kong Gospel Movement” (中西區福音遍傳行動) is a partnership with Chinese-speaking churches in the Central and Western district. Together we do monthly outreaches to meet our neighbors and to share the good news of Jesus.
- E-gape English Program is inspired by Matthew 25:40, “Truly I say to you, to the extend that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.” Jesus greatly treasured His time with children and demonstrated the Father’s love for them. E-gape offers weekly English lessons to Indonesians and local students in hopes of bringing them into relationship with God and fellow believers. This is a partnership with Kennedy Town Baptist Church.
In these times we’ve had the precious privilege of seeing through His eyes the students, the elderly, the shop owners and the residents of caged rooms. We have opportunities to engage and pray with the ones God loves and desires to save. It is in all these things that we live out Jesus’ mandate for us, “Go and be the neighbors to people God loves.”
